I've worked with
Kevin Fryer since 1999, and together with the client we enjoy creating
an overall visual scheme designed to compliment, but not compete with the
instrument itself. I've applied the same sensitivity to the integrity of
tonal and visual qualities in a number of highly successful collaborations
with other instrument makers.
Decorative elements include:
 |
Soundboard paintings using historic pigments and handmade paints |
 |
Original case painting that draw on period sources |
 |
Original lid paintings ranging from simple patterns to elaborate landscapes |
 |
Hand-printed Flemish papers with designs from antique harpsichords as well as other designs from the period |
 |
Parchment roses |
